We are opening the studios at High Copse Farm as part of the West Berks open studios Sue Mundy Ceramics and Tom Cartmill paintings are also exhibiting.
Now we are into the new year I am catching up with all the commissions that I couldn’t do before Christmas when I was so busy. The first completed commision is for ten necklaces for ten friends as a thank you. They must be good friends. Here is a picture of three of them.

Festival of Crafts
This weekend! it’s the Farnham Maltings Festival of Crafts. Cathy Newell Price will be found upstairs in the Tindle Studio. Saturday 10am – 5pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm. Lots of lovely new things on show, silver daisy chains, sparkly stone set rings and some new special bird necklaces……as well as all the old favourites, the bird and hearts on coloured cord, tiny studs and big chunky hearts.
Thank you to all the people who visited last weekend, we were very busy with a constant flow of visitors throughout the weekend. We served cups of tea and cakes, demonstrated and talked about techniques and made some good sales.
Our next opening is the last weekend in November, Friday 26, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28.
Studio opening for the Wokingham Arts Trail
The Wokingham Arts Trail is next weekend. We are busy getting ready at the studio, painting our red signs to direct you from the road and putting up posters to advertise the event. Twenty eight artists and crafts people are exhibiting in 12 venues across the borough. At High Copse Farm there will be Cathy Newell Price‘s jewellery, ceramics by Sue Mundy and ceramics, glass and paintings by EsteMacLeod.

Bird With Sea Glass Necklace
Here are the two necklaces. The birds each have gold hearts for wings. A silver cage hangs down from each silver bird with pieces of sea glass inside. The little shells that were sent in the box with the sea glass were used to make the solid silver sea shells that hang from the bottom of the cages.
